About

  • Pets welcome

High above the forests, the isolated ribbon of rock at the summit opens up, despite its low altitude, to an incredible 360° panorama between Diois, Vercors and Dévoluy. The descent also holds a surprise in store, with a tunnel carved into the rock and a passage...

Step by step

1/ From the parking lot (660 m), take the Chemin du Renard to the left of the D226. Cross the Gallands bridge (700 m). Cross the hamlet via Rue du Loria. Let the GR® 91 go left, continue straight ahead and leave the hamlet on the track for 50 m. Turn left before the farm building. At Gaud (?), follow the track to the right, which runs along the foothills of the mountain above the crops. It gradually goes deeper into the undergrowth and climbs.

2/ Take the track to the right and, after the Mian stream landslide, continue for 50 m. Leave the track for the path on the left. It climbs steeply and leads to the Col du Mian (1,135 m).

3/ Take the left-hand track towards La Grésière. Cross a second rockfall corridor under a scree slope. After 400 m, take the track on the left. It winds its way up through the beech forest to the Col de
Fays pass (1,302 m).

4/ Climb the steep left-hand path. It rises to the highest point of La Grésière (1,493 m).

5/ Follow the ridge path to the left, then down the slope to the right before entering the forest. Descend on the most direct path between several logging tracks and emerge on the cross-country path (GR® 91).

6/ Leave the track leading to Col du Pinet on your right and take the path on your left. After 600 m, take the left-hand path (GR® 91). It crosses the side of Les Buisses. Take the tunnel (handrail!).

7/ Continue downhill, taking the first path on the right and, after a series of hairpin bends, reach Les Gallands to return to the parking lot via the path taken on the outward journey.
