Starting from a charming village surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields, between the Vercors and the sparkling waters of the Drôme, the gleaming panoramas offered by this small summit are worth all the gold in the world.
1/ From the Jayon parking lot (607 m), pass between farm buildings. Go straight down along the edge of the field before finding a path through the pines.
2/ At the Moulin crossroads, turn right through the hamlet. After the last house, cross the bridge over the Marignac stream to the left. Just after, turn left and follow the track. Pass the old farmhouse and reach the Desse crossroads (594 m).
3/ Fork right on the path as it rises, alternating between passages under forest cover and open spaces in the marl. It reaches the Ponet-Marignac pass (770 m).
4/ Follow the path to the left and climb the long ridge to the highest point, 890 m (the ridge path is very reliable and never vertiginous, but be careful as some passages skirt the top of the cliffs).
5/ Descend through a 180° turn in the woods (moss and lichen). Continue downhill on the slope to the Desse crossroads, then follow the same route to the Moulin crossroads and the Jayon parking lot.
Ce circuit, décrit au départ de Marignac-en-Diois, peut être entrepris à partir de Ponet-Saint-Auban en montant au col de Ponet-et-Marignac.
Free access.
